Our Accomplishments / Projects To date we have provided various healthcare facilities and individuals throughout the Bay Islands with equipment donated to LFF by Florida Hospital, e.g. ambulance to city fire department. We have also organized specialized volunteer physicians from the U.S., that performed surgery and patient care at our public hospital in Coxen Hole, they also hosted community health seminars and continuing medical education for our medical professionals. Most important of all, we have completed the construction of a new 1700 sq. ft. public healthcare centerin Pandy Town, Oakridge. The facility houses a dental examination suite, primary care services and health education. LFF is working with national and local government officials to adequately assess the needs of our healthcare system. And we are recruiting the assistance of private non-profit charities dedicated to securing a new public hospital for Roatan, so that better healthcare is available to all of the Bay Islands. We also helped equip the new Mount Pleasant Community Health Center and this summer we are expanding and renovating the French Harbour Public Health Center.
